Reunion of Confederate Veterans

Photograph taken at Camp Branch Church
July 4, 1908

Research by Caleen Watts indicates that most of those pictured were in the South Carolina 26th Regiment. There were 10 Companies in the Regiment.  Manigault’s Battalion, also known as 6th, was made up of men mostly from Sumter, Clarendon and Williamsburg Counties.

Anyone who can provide additional information on any of these men, or identify any of those unknown, is urged to contact the Sumter County Genealogical Society.
